“The New Regional Realities and The Crossroads of Peace” Conference

O n December 4-6, the Information and Public Relations Center organized a three-day expert forum titled “New Regional Realities and the Crossroads of Peace.” The forum hosted experts from the Orbeli Analytical Center, other partner organizations, and experts from Iran, India, Georgia, and Turkey.



During the forum, visiting experts met with Armenian high-ranking officials to discuss regional challenges and effective strategies to address them. Furthermore, they participated in a tour to Armenian historical and cultural landmarks.



The conference commenced on December 5th with welcoming speeches delivered by Arayik Harutyunyan, Chief of Staff of the Prime Minister of Armenia; Mnatsakan Safaryan, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs; Gor Tsarukyan, Director of IPRC; Mehdi Sobhani, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Armenia; and Nilakshi Saha Sinha, Ambassador of India to Armenia. The “Crossroads of Peace” initiative, put forward by the Armenian Government, was also presented, highlighting potential political and economic opportunities. The attending ambassadors and experts also shared their perspectives on the project.



Discussions among local and international experts centered on regional geopolitics, economic connections, and future infrastructure projects. These also underscored mutual interests and emphasized regional projects beneficial to various stakeholders.
