Education
Mikayel studied in the Faculty of History at Yerevan State University from 1991 to 1996. Then
continued postgraduate studies at the Institute of History of the National Academy of Sciences
of the Republic of Armenia.
Professional Experience
Mikayel began his career at the Armenian Branch of the Mir Interstate Television and Radio
Company. Later, he held various positions at the Public Relations and Information Center of the
RA President’s Office and the RA Prime Minister’s Office, including Advisor to the Director and
Head of the Orbeli Analytical Center. He also coordinated the “Orbeli Dialogues” series of
interviews and discussions.
Media Broadcasting
Created programs on Armenian independence, and on Armenian and international media for
the Public Radio of Armenia. Wrote articles for EVN Report, Mediamax, Media.am and for other
media outlets.
Lecturing
2016-2018 – taught in the Master’s Program in Public Relations at Bryusov State University of
Languages and Social Sciences, focusing on media literacy, media law and propaganda studies.
Conferences
Organized and participated in international expert conferences on demography and Armenian-
Indian, Armenian-Iranian, Armenian-Georgian and Armenian-Russian relations and delivered
reports.
International Training
Participated in media training courses in the Netherlands and public relations courses in
Switzerland under NATO’s Partnership for Peace Program. Attended the “Media Dialog”
international research project on conflict studies in Tbilisi (2019) and in Berlin (2025).
Participated in conferences in India (Jaipur) and in Hungary (Budapest Dialogue).
Author of more than 500 radio programs and articles, 32 TV programs, 18 documentaries.
