D uring his working visit to Beijing (PRC), the Head of the Department of International Relations Study of the Public Relations and Information Center, senior expert at Orbeli Center Johnny Melikyan visited the Institute of Russian, Eastern European and Central Asian Studies, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. 

Issues of cooperation through think tanks, as well as the current state and prospects for the development of Armenian-Chinese relations were discussed during the meeting with the head of the Institute Zhang Ning and with researchers of China’s leading think tanks. During the discussion, they also touched upon the military-political situation in the South Caucasus and around the region.



The sides also agreed to maintain contacts between Orbeli Analytical Center (IPRC), the Institute of Russian, Eastern European and Central Asian Studies and other departments of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.
