E liza Matevosyan, an expert of the Orbeli Research Center addressed the problems in the sectors of the economy of the Artsakh Republic caused by the Artsakh blockade, within the framework of program “Radiolur” of the Public Radio of Armenia.  

According to the expert, there is a decline in all sectors of the economy, particularly in construction, mining, agriculture and tourism.

Generally, almost 5000 people lost their source of income during this period, becoming unemployed. There aren’t complete numerical data yet, that the whole economy of Artsakh is facing challenges. Thus, the expert field is sure that after the unblocking of the corridor, changing the structure of the economy in Artsakh should be a priority.
