Prospects of Armenia-China Economic Cooperation

A MBERD Research Center has published a research on the “Prospects of Armenia-China Economic Cooperation in the framework of the One Belt, One Road Initiative” co-authored by Mery Hovsepyan, Tatevik Arustamyan and Narine Petrosyan, which touched upon the issues of economic cooperation between Armenia and China, as well as the significance of the One Belt, One Road Initiative for Armenia and the South Caucasus countries. 

The research addresses issues related to EAEU-China economic cooperation, trade and economic relations between Armenia and China. It also presents the prerequisites for Armenia’s participation in the One Belt, One Road Initiative and current problems.   

The main risks, barriers and opportunities for Armenia’s participation in the One Belt, One Road Initiative were revealed, proposals were developed as a result of the study, which can be useful for policy developers and decision makers in this field.
